Wanting to be an attorney herself, Wilma started her professional career at the young age of seventeen, working in Law Firms. Realizing very quickly that it was not all that she expected, she fully transitioned into the Entertainment Business when she started working for the Producer, Martiza Casiano. There she had the opportunity to assist in the promotion and production of concerts such as Chayanne, Alejandro Fernandez, Ricardo Arjona, Christian Castro, Domingo Quiñones, Michael Stuart, Vico C, Limi-T XXI, Joaquin Cortes, Rockatour, Aaron Carter, among others.
After successfully working as an Administrative, Executive and Production Assistant for over ten years, on 2003 Wilma took on the challenge to pursue a degree in Show Production and Touring. She relocated to Orlando, Florida and enrolled in one of the premier media arts colleges in the world, Full Sail. She graduated Valedictorian and with a couple of awards under her belt, she was called by Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean to journey around the world as a Sound Engineer, Technical Supervisor and Production Manager in charge of all Production Shows from Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cameron Mackintosh and Bob Fosse to Headliners Shows such as Shawn Farquhar, Sean O’Shea, Noah Levy, among others. She was in charge of rehearsals, performances, start show, call show cues, operate stage scenery movement console and prepare show reports as well as to set up, sound check and strike live bands.
In 2006, Wilma coordinated and executed the production aspects of two full charters onboard Sovereign of the Seas for Dave Matthews Band and Kenny Cheseny including all logistics and scheduling for load in/ load out of Clear Channel and Clair Brother’s PA system as well as multiple individual bands’ equipment. She supervised the setup and tear down of bands in different venues simultaneously.
